Actually, the most adventurous designs can be seen from AM’s Aurum and handwelted galleries - not his Instagram

The exotic bi-material shoes are all tastefully done. Although I tend to agree with previous views that they are not easy to wear.

I have always wanted to try Paolo Scafora, though sizing has been a hurdle and the China retailer (Medallion) is not actually represented in my city.

Discussed, high cost, low anticipated demand, likely not.

Would have to go single MTO unless one manages to find a group of 6+ friends, so to speak. Personally I don't find GMTO usually worth the trouble or organizing it - joining an already-organized one is okay, however.

One of the reasons I don’t find GMTOs particularly attractive. ??

There is much joy in helping others get a pair of nice shoes, but it can be offset by the “uniform” feel.
