he's just jotting down all our shoe sizes for Perticone... actually there's like 5 of us on the thread with about the same size, so Seiichi Yoshimoto will probably think all 5 pairs are for Bcolle, "Bryan, very strange that all your colleagues order burgundy split toe in 8.5E"

The legend continues...

2 things here. One.. Moves me up rather quickly, in his eyes, amongst his preferred customers. Two.. (Again in his eyes) I really love Burgundy SpTDs.

Win win imo. ?

Hi all!

I am discussing an unlined shoe project with Antonio. Leather with be a thicker version of the famous Janus calf aka "Janus Butt" (2.0 - 2.2 mm vs the usual 1.4 - 1.6 mm for Janus Calf, which is not suitable for unlined shoe).

We have already obtained the latest colour samples for Janus Butt from CF Stead, and also some quotes on a new type of slim rubber sole (think EG Shanklin or Luccombe). There will be a significant upfront investment due to the fact that neither is readily available from retailers (Tannery Row doesn't stock all colours, and AA Crack only has Janus Calf; sole needs a new mould).

It will be something exploratory, and not exactly GMTO (as there won't be the promise of having real groups, but I will most likely go ahead and make some chukka and derby shoes out of this thing). Anyone interested please send me a DM and we can discuss how best to proceed.

Thanks!

This sounds really interesting, and if I hadn't just blown my shoe budget for the next few months this morning, I'd be PMing you now.

unlined loafer isn't really my thing, but I'm interested in what the new slim rubber sole is

No, not loafers. Chukka and Dover-like shoes.

I see ok, not familiar with those EG model, so what's the slim rubber sole, like the GG slim rubber sole?

Mind saying a bit about why unlined? Not sure I've ever worn anything unlined but a loafer. What's the angle?

I thought unlined chukka (read Alden) was fairly popular back in the days

And I heard also Clarks.

But a more elevated version, is arguably attractive. Imagine a little bit better here and there...

Not sure what color is this, but this patina is kind cool, a bit bronze?

If my memory does not fail, in think the first time he released this picture he say this is a mix between his color Pearl Grey and Caffe Tostatto ?

that would explain, this blend in a lot better than I thought. Though I imagine this is too much lighting on it? I remember caffe tostatto being quite dark?

His Lontra patina (or some spell-alike) looks good as well
