I think mf2 last is the exception. At least that's what I had researched. Hope I'm right, lol. If not, you guys will soon see a nassim in 9uk up for sale.

From what I've learned, it's recommended to take a full size down in the following lasts: Mayfair 2, Chisel 1/2, and Round. Lasts that one is recommended to only size down half include: Soft Square, Hawksbill, and Last B. Again, this is just my experience and what info I've gathered in my search of AM shoes, YMMV..

How does the "Dark Oak with a misty/nuvolato effect" pair with grays? Hard to get a sense of the color in sunlight from the pics on the website, just curious if anyone has an opinion on how it would pair with lighter, medium and charcoal grays?

Pairs really well with mid or light grays and navy.

The dye is okay. It’s alcohol based, so nothing like correction fluid or turpentine. Just need to tell wife it’s also made in France like her perfume.

Yes, of course. I have a pretty sensitive sense of smell and didn’t notice anything at all. I did cover my nose and mouth during the dying process. Although this is a pre-shine pic, attached are how they look in dark brown. If anyone decides to give it try, feel free to dm me and I’ll give you some tips. I’ve since dyed a few pairs of shoes, all with great success. It really is very easy.

Thanks for your kind input @clee1982.
The reason I asked is I’m thinking to buy my first pair of AM through their MTO online service. In their website is a reference photo to show different last shape but I just cannot imagine how they look like in different dimensions.

their soft square seems to be a nice one.
Anyone knows how it compares to C&J 341 last and JL 7000/8000 last ?
I see some say AM shoes are usually 0.5 size smaller than C&J last. But I believe it’s not for all cases.

Good question. I believe from my research that they are indeed .5 smaller but on chiseled lasts or the hawksbill . So if you wore a 8.5UK in the JL 7000/8000, or C&J 341, you would wear a 9UK for AM. Unfortunately I do not have experience with AM RTW, but I know Angela is a master at determining sizes.

I can tell you that the chiseled lasts that I have on my Aurums and Bespoke models are tighter across the forefoot than the 7000 last or the 341. To be fair, those are really rounded lasts compared to the AM models.

I have CJ 341 in 8.5E UK in Sydney I take 9E UK in Chisel 2 and 9F in Soft Square, one of them is HW one is AW, I honestly don't remember which

In general I worry about toebox width I never tried 9E in Soft Square though the chance I can fit it in 9E is pretty slim.

I wear 9E UK in GG MH71, GG DG70/TG73 in 9E UK is too narrow. Only try on experience with JL so don't really remember but in general I think it was 8.5 normal width UK
