He has the leather in stock for 4 pairs and ready to be lasted. So upon ordering and confirmation he lasts them immediately
Nice! From experience, it still may take a lot longer than 4 weeks. I think you should prepare yourself to wait a bit. If it does work out in 4 weeks time, bravo 👏.

@Noirkw I echo @deez shoes’s prediction…

Please do let us know when you receive your shoes - I think “going to be lasted”, “lasting”, “finished lasting”, “going to be finished”, “finishing the heel” etc are still there to be gone through 🤪

The leather from scafora and vilalta has been unbelievable so far. I can do it in the future sure
Do remember that the pair your got from FineShoes is actually *not* from his prided “triple box tanned crust” - perhaps need to stratify the comparison into boxcalf, crust leather, reverse suede, split suede sections… 🤣

A reason to buy more fascinating shoes 🤪

Gentlemen,
I am trying to get a rough idea of sizing on a Pair of suede chukka boots by AM, they will be soft squared. I am seeing many men say to size up a half size. I have somewhat "normal" morphology to my feet, except being flat as a board. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I'm mostly 10.5 English shoes, 11 Spanish, but meccariello chisel 2 I took 11.5 and next pair I'll have to take 11.5 wide or 12 normal...

Not sure what your sizing reference is and other lasts you’ve tried but speaking in generalities I think yes most guys with “average” feet take 1/2 size up from CJ/JL sizing so 9.5 in CJ, 10 in AM. Same size as EG. Comparing soft square Argentum to EG82 I want to say soft square has an ever so slightly higher instep and a tiny bit less space in the toe box width-wise but a slightly taller toe box and a little more room across the vamp.

Based on my experience (since I have narrow width and low instep) I find that AM, G&G, and George Cleverley (Anthony Cleverley Line) that I take the same size. The AM lasts I wear are Chisel 2 and Soft Square and with G&G it is Deco and TG73. Now the only other English shoe I wear is Foster's (which I understand fits similar to CJ's), Those I will size down half for the right fit. Hope that helps.
