Well, I'll be attending a wedding in Whistler, BC in Canada at the end of June. The wedding will be outdoors, beginning at 4pm, with the reception at 6 pm, also outdoors. What do I wear? I was thinking a khaki linen suit (haven't thought about the shirt and tie combination, though - but suggestions welcome), but then that look doesn't really translate well for the evening. Any suggestions? Thanks, ahead of time.

Pale lavender or pink might do well slipping from afternoon into night. It also depends on how generally formal the occasion is...are we talking by a cabin or at an exclusive country club?

It's at the Four Season's Resort up at Whistler. Thanks for your response, Mr. Daniels.

If the entire thing is outdoors, you should be able to get away with khaki as long as all of your accessories are top-notch. If it were indoors I would say dark suit.

Khaki would be fine. As would a lightweight dark suit, say in featherweight gabardine. With khaki, I like aqua and toast. Perhaps a cream colored shirt.

can somebody tell me - is a white twill shirt appropriate for a evening wedding, or ditch the twill and go for another white shirt
