Another Lobb fit question

Searches have not proven to be helpful so I'm throwing this inquiry out there for all the Lobb owners.

I am between a US 9D and 9.5D in Stuart's Choice/Grenson, 9.5D in AE and Ferragamo (non-Trammezza). I have a C&J337 in UK8.5E that's on the loose side and a UK8.5D in JL8695 that's on the tight side.

What is my ideal size for JL 8000 last?

Hard to say. From all that I've read about its elongated last and wide toe box, most say size down 1/2 UK size for 8000...

I also think 8.5E would be good. I wear 7E in both 8695 and 8000. The 8695 is a little tighter across the arch. If 8.5D is a little snug for you in 8695 but is otherwise perfect, going up a width to 8.5E would probably work just fine for the 8000 last.

Thanks guys. I just pulled the trigger on a pair of Avons, tobacco suede, in UK8.5E.

I'm a US 9D in the Polo C&Js on the 337 last, and am 8E in the Lobb 8000 last.
