Another "Does this suit fit" thread - (suit needed for tonight)

Hey everyone, I know this is last minute, but I need a suit for a social event/dance thing for school tonight. After previously posting pictures of different suits, I was told that I am likely a 38L rather than a 40L. I went to H&M and Zara to look for a cheap suit or blazer for tonight. I couldn't find any "long" jackets, so I went with a 38R. It looks quite short in the jacket to me, but I wanted to see if you guys thought it was acceptable or if I should run back to a different store and try to find something else a bit longer. Please see the pictures below for the two different suit (the darker one is linen, which I'm iffy about) and I only wore the darker pants with the lighter jacket to make it easier to judge the jacket's length. Thanks again for any input!

Finially a "does this suit fit" thread that almost has a great fit! No one will notice the shortness if you wear with confidence

So far I feel as though the verdict is that it's short, but not too short (to the point that it looks dumb). Others agree?

I think the top one looks better; the bottom looks like the shoulders are too wide.
