I want a pair of Rm Williams in that tan color. Great color. Just to be sure is that the "dark tan" or the regular "tan"? Thanks.

[IMG] I got my boots from Orvis today, and the inevitable occurred--too narrow. They're going back. I might have been tempted to punish myself in them given the price if I hadn't tried on the wides in the store the other day, which fit so nicely.

Soph, (and others who own the Craftsman):

WHat should the fit be like when new? Very snug? Tight? Just right? I am trying to work out what to do so that they fit well in the long term.

Don't know if you guys were aware of this, but the R.M. Williams store in NYC carries sized boot trees for their boots at $39/pair. Seems like a decent deal to me, so I ordered a pair for my new boots.

Sorry to hear they didn't fit Grim.

--Mine fit pretty snug, not loose, which I like on an ankle boot. Just right I would say. No additional padding for added tightness nor protectitive padding for closeness. I really like the fit.

Zip, what Grenson boots are those? Are they as sleek as they look there?

I don't know what they are; the inside just has a style number.

There is no model name in the sole but from my research I believe they're AE Brantley's.
