So after owning my fair share of sweaters knit from various sources, I recently just bought my first angora sweater. The sweater is 100% angora, of medium weight. My first thoughts is that it is extremely soft, and while remaining reasonably lofty. Quite different type of "soft" than cashmere; the closest I've encountered was soft knit alpaca, though this still has differences.

The only decent thread I could find on angora was here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=56814 However, this thread was not very helpful toward answering my questions.

So, has anyone owned high blend to pure knit angora sweaters before?
Any comments on longevity to expect out of them?
What about care tips to maintain shape and prevent shedding?

Any experiences/ thoughts would be helpful...

PS: The item is not nearly as fuzzy/ hairy as examples such as this:

The sweater I own is reasonably tight knit, and has a much less pronounced fuzzing effect currently. I would estimate about 1/4 inch, with some hairs being as much as 1/2 inch. Feel is very luxurious and not nearly as effeminate-looking IRL. I would prefer to keep it from fuzzing out much beyond it's current state. Again, thanks for any advice.
