I tried the ask a jean question thread, but didn't get much of an answer.
I need a new pair of jeans, my 29 Rescues are too tight in the thigh.
I measure: waist 32.5-33", Upper thigh 24", mid thigh 21"
My rescues' flat measurements are: waist: 17, upper thigh 12, mid thigh 10, inseem 34". They are a bit loose in the waist and seat, tight in the thighs, and good in the length.

Choose between:
Ande Whall Cougar Boot Cut
Size 33 or size 34 sanforized
Size 34 or 35 shrink to fit

Sugar Cane 1947
Size 34? shrink to fit
I am looking at getting these sugar canes so if you know anything +/- about the ebay sell let me know: http://cgi.ebay.com/SUGAR-CANE-jeans...3286.m20.l1116

Which cut and it which size? Thank you for any help you can give me on this, it is so hard for me to find jeans that fit right. I'm leaning towards the AWs, because I would like a slight boot cut and they look nicer, but the 1947s seem to have more space in the thigh.

it all matters on how you size it, there sizing charts for both of them availabe online, and it matters on what type of jean you, the 1947 and cougar boot are two totally different cuts, one is a slim, and other is a bootcut. and i dont think that cougar is too tight in the thigh area. here are the measurements for aws http://andewhall.bigcartel.com/size-charts i would think that a 32sz or 33stf would be good for you, remember thee denim will stretch 1-1.5 inch in waist and .5- 1 in the thighs

Thanks, I've been looking at that AW size chart for awhile. The reason I haven't already bought the cougars is the mid thigh measures 9.7" in size 33. This has me a bit worried that the thigh would be too small.
The 32sz measures 9.5" mid thigh, so I'm guessing that would be really tight in the thigh.

I know the two jeans I've mentioned are 2 completely different cuts, I'm trying to decide if the slimmer cougars would work or if I should go for the more blocky 1947s due to thigh space.

a 9.5 will definitely stretch to 10+, if you end up buying a size 33it might end up loose in the waist. if you dont want the tight fit try getting a looser fit. both 1947 and cougar are a relatively slim fit. if you want a straight/tapered fit that is looser on the top try nudies big bengt. Good raw boot cuts are a little harder to find though.
