WAHOO WAH . Manton is THE MAN. Somebody's got to set the standards. For my two cents ($0.02) Manton is a better authority on how to dress properly than Alan Flusser ever dreamt of being. You can go ahead and break the rules once you know what the rules are and Manton is the authority in that regard.

I just want to add another thank you to Manton.

Though you have professed that your posting to this forum is merely a hobby, you have always expressed yourself as a true professional.

Your vast knowledge has impacted many members, myself included. I have completely re-evaluated my gorge, lapel widths and pleating preferences due to you. And all for the better.

And your quote (though I paraphrase) of: "I am not rich; merely irresponsible" has become one of my most-used lines.

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks guys; I really appreciate the kind words.

But let's talk about something really important: like the fact that Style Forum now has more than 2,000 members.

Congratulations, J.

Congratulations Manton, it's always a pleasure. Guys like me are just hacks--you actually know what you're talking about. Can't wait for the book, and its inevitable sequel: Sartorial Straussians. Â

Let me add to the congratulations and thank you for all your help on the various style fora. Now, when does that book come out?
