Congrats Manton. And those are 2000 useful posts, unlike, say, this one.

Always opinionated, usually correct (a rare exception being this morning when he dumped on hidden buttondown collars) and now with 2,000 posts. :)

    Congratulations.

From his signature at one point on the askandy forum, you have a way with words manton.

They ought really change "contributing member" to "prolific member" in your case.

    Hats off

Yes manton, thanks for sharing and being the voice of the young fogey. May you continue to post in good health.

RJ man, I have some contacts in publishing and I've heard some news on Mantons book. The good news is that they are getting behind it and want to run TV ads in support. The bad news is that there is a limited budget for acting talent. Now I don't actually know anything, but I'm told the lead actor could be best be summarized as, "Dude, you're getting a Dege." But you didn't hear that from me.

Just thought I'd add my belated thanks to the chorus of praise and gratitude that is so well merited. I really appreciate your addressing so many topics that I have personally raised, and I am eagerly awaiting your book...like most other forumites, I suspect.

Manton you joined in 02' but you only have only reached 2000 posts now? Time to pick more fights, because at this rate you'll never catch up to LA Guy. [IMG] Jon.

Indeed. Congratualtions and thanks for a great many reasons.

Your post on silhouette is quintessential, and is easily the post I have reread the most of any thread, in any forum, on any topic.

    Regards,

    Huntsman

Five years later, this thread and the appreciation it contains are 12.5 times as appropriate.

Thanks for the education, Manton. Sometimes you really do drag us out of the cave.

Thanks guys; I really appreciate the kind words.

But let's talk about something really important: like the fact that Style Forum now has more than 2,000 members.

    Congratulations, J.

When I have a sartorial dilemma , which is quite often , I have four or five names in my mind to help me to find the right sartorial answer and Manton is definitively at the top with Dopey ,Rjman ,RSS and Iammatt...

    We need you ...

It wouldn't be the tailored clothing Internet without Manton.

    Congratulations, you big dope.
