Superb, keep up the good work.

Man, lots of well-attired Australians on this board.

How much is it costing you? Sounds like the fabric is your own, how about the lining?
I also thought there was a fraction too much break in the pants. Maybe they can go up a little?

From what I've read, starting at about $5,000 to $6,000 Australian, but I could be wrong. At current exchange rates that would be $4,200 to $5,100 or so US.

For a 3-piece suit, it cost me AU$7500 (US$6300). For a 2-piece, it would indeed be around AU$6000 for a standard fabric.

I actually just picked the fabric before my trip to Sydney, then got the local distributor to ship a few metres to my tailor.

As for the lining, it was actually a special lining selected by John Cutler on an overseas trip for one of his own jackets, and he let me use some for my suit.

The break looks too big because I am actually wearing sneakers in the photo. It looks fine with a heel.

If you are ever in Sydney and want a suit made, or are just curious, please feel free to visit John Cutler's website:

Hey Seng/Asian Romeo ... thankyou for your pictures. I am currently in the market for a tailor made bespoke suit, and your photos are very insightful. I'm thinking about the main three; cutler, adamo, and disano ... cost is my main concern. I like the suit to fit perfectly, however I'm not the type that judges people by their clothes so paying a premium is not my obsession. Regardless, your suit looks great. Thanks again.

Hi Reckoner,

I'm glad you are considering a bespoke suit - it is the most rewarding and enjoyable process! However, in the world of bespoke suiting, you are already paying a premium for your suit in general. The selection of your tailor should have more to do with their respective cutting skill and style than anything else. John Cutler makes a classic - but not too stiff - suit for me (obviously under my direction), and the turnaround time is good, since I need to get it made while I'm still in town. Before you select a tailor, have a chat with him, and have a very sharp idea in your mind as to what you want. This way, he will know if he can create what you would like. My advice is that you speak to someone like Adamo and see if he can make the suit you desire. Good luck, and I hope to see your photos soon!
