I think the league would be vulnerable to a 13th amendment suit.
Edit: Also is in violation of the civil rights act of 1991.

Yes I have and you do seem to be leaning to it being ok.

You're reading comprehension skills are rather subpar at best.

This was close enough for me:

Personally, I'd prefer to leave it unchallenged. The league will fail and allowing it to fail will ensure maximum financial penalty for shareholders and sponsors.

Ah, the joys of capitalism.

Your supporting segregation. Not sure what your talking about.

"You're" point is a little off, and as another poster referenced, I think your reading comprehension skills could use some work. RobertoRex referenced a clearly private matter. Look at any college/work cafeteria in America (I realize you are from the racial utopia of Canada, but just bear with me) and you'll see a natural (if somewhat unfortunate) tendency of people to segregate themselves. That's fine. I have no problem with all black fraternities, etc....

Who private individuals choose to associate with is an entirely different matter than who an employer chooses to hire, especially if the workplace is a publicly-owned arena.

Understand? I do not think the government should be able to force you to hang around with a certain group of people (which in your eyes is "supporting segregation", I guess). As Martin Luther King once said "I want the white man to be my brother, not my brother-in-law."

I do think the government should be able to legislate desegregation in the workplace and in governmental agencies. Again, another King quote "It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important. "

You're probably correct, must be an American thing.

So in Canada, the government can legislate who you associate with?

Or are you saying that Canadians don't naturally, privately self-segregate?

And a new phrase is born - "Canadian Exceptionalism"

I think that in Canada different races and nationalites are much more celebrated and encouraged. Which leads to more mixing of races and nationalities.
