1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Can't say I didn't see this coming; still sad though. She was really talented but equally fucked - looks like she joined the famous dead-at-27 group.

Least surprising death ever. Still, she was amazingly talented. It's a shame she couldn't get it together. RIP.

    +1

    Sad, but not shocking.

Sure but having Devil Dogs come a'callin' isn't the same as drug overdose.

As predictable as this may have been, it is still very sad news. It is unfortunate that she couldn't have been forcibly removed from her environment and made to complete a more thorough program of rehab. She was so immersed in that lifestyle that it was almost impossible to expect that she could avoid this fate on her own...

True. Johnson was the original. His will always be more epic, and the rest will remain pretenders.

I was just thinking about Winehouse a few weeks ago. Kind of strange.

Didn't Cobain die at 27, too?

Too bad. My jaw dropped when I heard it on the news. I rather liked her.

    Unfortunate. No surprise though.

Unfortunately the sad news comes as no surprise. The number of people coming forward as her best friend is somewhat ironic.

I knew who she was but that's about it. Could not identify a single song.

A major talent. Drowned by her drinking and undone by drugs. Another cautionary tale we don't need. When she was in control she had a great voice and sound. Fantastic stage set and good musicians. A sad and tragic conclusion to a very troubled young person. From many accounts she was a very sweet person at heart. RIP, Miss Amy - you were great.

Poisoning of alcohol. A stinging effect experiencing asphyxia and confusion as the brain convulses epileptic on the trail of death.
