What do mean by 2.4 yards? 2 yards and 4 inches or 2 yards and 14.5 inches?

2 yards is enough for the jacket and with a few changes of the layout of the pattern pieces they should be able to fit in the vest. Depends on who is cutting it and how hard they try.
