Ahh - I long for the days when William F. Buckley, George Plimpton and George Will were my fashion icons

To be technical, the elder Bush is not Bush Sr.  He is George H.W. Bush, while the current president is George W. Bush.

I bet a lot of liberals would trade the current Bush for the older model in a heartbeat.

A co-optation of your opinion: I bet a lot of people from across the political spectrum would trade the current Bush for the older model in a heartbeat.

Isn't this fun?

To be even more technical, the word senior simply means "older." George H.W. Bush happens to be the older of the two presidents named Bush. Therefore it makes sense to call him Bush Sr.

But not as a title. A title is part of your name.

Did you see the recent pic. of all four presidents at Clinton's Library?

Old poppy was the only one wearing a tan raincoat -- cut like an Aquacutum or Burberry or what have you. It was battered good.

The others wore black.
