American Crew - help needed

I'm interested in getting some American Crew products when I finally decide to cut my hair short and I need some advice. The hair will be fluffy throughout with longer but thinner fringes. I'd be looking at getting a bit of lift from the back giving a small impression of a Mohawk and parting the fringe effectively containing it to each side. I would like it to look natural, dry, non greasy, with separation and not too shiny. I don't want it to be full blown either, I'd only be using a small amount and I want whatever product is in my hair to smell good. I would be applying the product after showering and towel drying or as soon as I wake. And I probably won't have time to wash it out at the end of the day.

I have identified these particular ones-

Citrus Mint Clay - Citrus Mint Paste (which is better here?)
Tea Tree Light Hold Styling Cream
Fiber - Classic Wax (which is better here?)

Which ones smell good and which ones don't (I'd prefer a soft or faded cologne or chocolaty smell as opposed to a masculine/ brute one)

Overall, which one or two products do you think would be the best for my needs?

Any suggestions at all would be great. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS- feel free to recommend other brands as well for my particular cut and requirements.

Bumble & Bumble sumo tech wax is a better product and will do exactly what you want.

Also, Sebastian makes a clay that will get you what you want as well. I think it's called Tek Wax?? I can't remember
