Anybody else see these in the newsletter today? They look great to me, I've been looking for a good pair of slim pants. Definately on my F/W wishlist. If anyone lives near a test store feel free to hook me up (fully compenstated of course).

I don't know how unisex those can be. The fit looks pretty feminine on the girl.

My quest for some cheap slim slacks to go with my nudie jacket might end here.

All the cords, slacks, chinos, khakis I tried in store are all kinda relaxed.

They look like all right on the guys to me. It may just be a question of how you wear and size them.

Great idea for them! When and where will these be available?

What I've read from AA is that they're already distributing them out to certain AA stores, test the water, and then have them available for the general public. They look pretty damn good.

Probaly feel like hell on earth. Most AA stuff is hit and miss with the quality I've noticed. I have an AA t-shirt that's lasted me for a year now and it's still nice. Granted if it fades anymore it will be invisible.

My friend on the other hand had a hoodie that pooped out in a month.

It will be interesting to know. It's quite annoying that there is no inexpensive source of slim-fitting clothing. I often feel like you have to pay top-dollar just a designer label just to get that slim fit. You don't really want the designer label but there is just no other choice. The costs of mass producing a slim fit are not higher, it's just that presumably the market is viewed as smaller. It is just that the market for slim clothing is deemed too smaller. It is easier to fit a slim person into baggy clothing than a fat person into slim clothing (and baggy clothing can be altered).

Anyway, keep us updated.

Do people think there is a market for American Apparel in China?

Looks like it would be a great product, I always hear people (including me) who can't find an inexpensive slim slack or chino. Now let's just hope that AA doesn't make it a 'California Fleece Slack' or a 'Jersey Slack'.

Now that would be funny, considering that AA's whole brand is basically about "Not Made in China". It would be quite a showing for globalisation if consumers in China were buying underpants sewn in Los Angeles, but I reckon it'll be a while yet before chinese buying-power can sustain a market for these prices.
