"Ambrosi's ready to wear line will initially be in stores in Asia in 2012. It promises the Ambrosi styling, including button flies and contrast colored waistbands, at a considerable savings from bespoke, though no prices have been set as of this time."

Bespoke Ambrosi pants run $750, and help you to look like this:

They also now have a new higher end bespoke line made from vintage cloth. $1500 per pair.

"Speaking of bespoke, father and son now also produce an entrely hand-made trouser called the Antonio, using vintage cloth from the family's stocks, for $1,500 a pair. That is about double the current price for a bespoke trouser with the usual 17% hand-work."

So the new vintage-cloth trousers means you get to pay an extra $500/m (on top of the standard bespoke trousers cloth price) for cloth they haven't been able to shift in decades?

$750? that's the RTW price correct? I always thought their bespoke was about $1,200ish. Either way, it is very expensive for trousers. Beautiful work though, I can't argue against paying for it if you have the means.

$750 is the bespoke price,RTW must be cheaper. I am surprised by 17% handwork in the bespoke though,I thought it was all handmade.

Srly. They're just pants. But I suppose if you were to account for the trouser component of a $4000 bespoke suit, then it sounds about right, if not on the lower end.

17% handwork, is that all...?

I demand 100/3 % on my stuff.

SR pants generally cost over £650.

Ambrosi's pants look well made from what I've seen, nice detailing, especially the fastening.

I like how they specify 17%. I would like to challenge that it is only 16.8% and they rounded up. That 0.2% is dollar bills, son.

Granted the vintage fabric price may be a little steep compared to his normal bespoke price but SR prices as George noted start at around £650-700. My off-Row tailor charges around £700, so I'm guessing that on-Row would be about 10-30% more?

Understood. I am not that much of trouser aficionado so would probably not have my odd trousers made-up at that price... I'd rather go elsewhere.

It's funny how Will from ASW gets Ambrosi trousers, however Kabbaz' $160 sea island cotton undershirts are "too rich" for him.
