Amazing Deals on Ebay?

I have studied the threads that point out there are many greta deal on ebay however im curious how often it is too good ot be true. It is my nephew's b-day next week and i was thinking of buying him some A&F Polos. Can the polos here possibly be real?

Maybe. But then again I have read before that A&F is a favourite target of counterfeiters (beats me why). Don't remember who mentioned it.

Someone posited that the more popular and easy to conterfeit will be. Hence A&F polos. Or any polo for that matter. [edit] I forgot to mention: I original asked about counterfeiting in regards to a Botega Venetta bag. It's not as likely to be faked as it is harder and not nearly as well known (so said that same person).

That said, if the deal is good enough, it might not matter. Of course, that probably isn't true if you are buying for someone else. I'm certain a "Montblanc" pen I bought for very cheap ain't really Montblanc. I couldn't care less. It looks nice and writes well. Same for a polo or other easy-going shirt.

A&F polo is almost certainly fake. Montblanc is also popular in China. I picked up a couple of pens a few months ago while there for less than $2.00 each.

Some forgeries can be very good quality but most are not. Buyer beware.

that's most definately a fake. ebays strange, the amount of fakes on there (where the seller states there genuine) are sold. yet no one says anything, and ebay don't even notice all these fakes being sold and chase it up? bit strange really.

Thank you for the quick replies. Is it also to naive to think that these would be real? Or am i wrong to assume that since they are sold in lots they are probably real?

Conterfeiting is big business. Just because this is a lot of 5 doesn't mean a thing in my mind. They're just trying to sell off 5 of them quicker--so stick them in one lot. There's still a profit there.
