Am I the only one that thinks RLX has no niche?

It's supposed to be "high end athletic gear".

But it's not designed for elite athletes, but its not really designed as fashion or stylish either. It looks like anything else sold by nike, puma, lacoste, or adidas with the RLX logo on it. I just can't buy into it. The logo itself isn't even a logo, its just the letters RLX with the X in red font.

Who is this brand designed for?

I'll respectfully disagree. Having in my possession a couple of their jackets and gear, I definitely say they are targeting the fit-conscious athletic type males out there looking for outerwear that doesn't look too technical (think North Face, Columbia etc) but retains a fashionable edge. What that means is sometimes an up or down type of collection with great pieces and average pieces, but I definitely think their stuff is built with top notch materials and hardware.

If you've ever handled any technical outerwear by RLBL, they are definitely very similar, and share lots of the same designs and hardware.

As for the comparison with adidas and nike gear, I think that might apply to some of their athletic sports clothing (t-shirts, shorts) but if you're comparing it to their upper level expensive jackets and snow sports gear, I definitely think it's in a league of its own.

RLX products are well designed, I think (not sure of the price tag though)

I don't know of many companies that make a 100% polyester, moisture wicking, ventilated polo that you can pop the collar on.

I have one and I really like it.

well they did sponsor a mountain bike racing team for years. Good fits...better than Nike etc...but honestly the logo is turnoff, like the polo pony.
