Today was supposed to be a holiday but most of our clients are open so they decided it made more sense to let half of us take the 31st and come in today instead.

I have come in accidentally on a holiday at an internship (when you don't have paid holidays...nobody thinks to give you a holiday calendar) and the building was open so I just went in and worked anyways.

I did that on Columbus Day before... felt kind of embarrassed but no one was there to make fun of me since I was the lone dumbass.

I am actually so ******* sick of vacation that I was dying to get back to work today. I had a blast taking most of the holidays off this year, but its enough.

I always thought that if a holiday falls on a Saturday you take the Friday before off, and if it falls on a Sunday you take the Monday off.

I don't like vacations. I get antsy by the 2nd day. I like to live my normal routine in different locales. That's my idea of vacation.

it used to be that it would take me 4 or 5 days to get into the vacation spirit, then it would take me a week or so to get out of it once I got home. so I pretty much stopped vacationing. now I have gotten used to vacationing, and can do a 2 day or a 14 day without a problem.

This is how my work does them.

I've never gone into work on a holiday. There were a few times where I would wake up thinking I'm late to work but then remember it's a holiday.

O my god... 4-5 days in and I'll be sweating in a corner wanting to die.

I love to relax but for me, part of relaxing is feeling useful.
