Ok so, your all tired of answering the same questions all the time im sure. So im gonna outline my plan and i just want to know if its going to have a positive effect on my fittness and well physique in general.

Just so you know im in my first year of university, and i tend to drink quite a bit due to all the nights out, and this induces the pizza & curries etc. Which is the main thing i want to stop.

Every body seems to suggest that exercise is not even almost as important to diet when you want to look your best. Having just met a girl i very much like, i very much want to look my best for her.

Checked a couple of the conventional boxes so far in that i have joined a gym, and started trying to eat 6-7 small meals a day. The main thing im struggling with here is what, specifically, to eat. Lean meats, vegatables, greens, whey after work outs. Ok easily said but how do i mix these things up?! I'll end up having 7 chicken/turkey and lettuce sandwiches a day at this rate with the odd carrot.

As for the gym am i aiming for cardio or weightlifting. I'm no expert on either, and i've only just started. I always seem to jump in at the deep end and seem to see i should do 3 weight sessions focusing on different parts of the body, and 2 cardio sessions per week. This will kill me more so than a diet made up of pure fat.

By the way im 6 3" and 200 pounds, don't know what im meant to be and don't really care that much as long as i look toned. At the moment i can hide any excess fat with the right clothes etc but i want the real slim!

You just think you're hiding the excess fat; it shows to anyone that cares to notice.

One key thing you said is that you are "Trying to eat 6-7 small meals a day." It's sounds as if you are struggling to get that many meals in? Nothing wrong with eating 6-7 meals, but if it's easier with your schedule perhaps eating 3 large meals would be easier. You can throw in a couple small snacks in between if needed. Don't listen to anyone who tells you not to eat 3 meals per day, you are not preparing for Mr Olympia. Many average Joe's with school, jobs, kids, wives etc don't have time to sit around and eat all day.

Also, I hope lettuce and an occasional carrot are not the only veggies you are getting. Buy a food processor and throw in a pound of 5-10 different types of veggies and chop them up real fine. Add a drizzle of safflower oil, some lemon juice, nuts, apples, flax and/or whatever else you can think of. That's how to eat veggies! Also, if possible get a juicer and drink a pint or two of raw veggie juice per day. My protein shake consists of a pint of celery & carrot juice with a shot of apple mixed with a banana and protein powder. Some will say "But that doesn't taste good!" *******, ****** is getting healthy.

I'm sure someone will chime in stating that's too many veggies to eat in one sitting. In addition to also eating the protein & carbs it certainly can be too much. Basically, I'll eat the veggie's until full and whatever is left I save for the next meal. Also a tip: you don't want your veggie salad too dry so make sure you get in a juicy vegetable such as cucumber or tomato - it all goes down easier that way.

Cutting the cheap booze and pizzas and curries would help you lose weight.
6 or 7 meals is for advanced trainees where even a protein shake is considered 1 meal. If you have sandwiches 6 to 7 times a day, you will never lose weight.

As a student who is probably short on income, just try to eat 3 to 4 meals a day without being stuffed. What you said above in terms of food works. Add no fat milk and eggs and if you can make your own juices. Cut down on the Coke zeros, mountain dew, Lays etc etc and you will be fine.

As for workout, 3 weight sessions and 2 cardios work. As a beginner, just do 3 weight sessions and do light cardio after each session will be good as a starter. Do weights at a higher pace so you can have cardio vascular benefits.

As usual, thank me later. Toodles.

Dude, just have fun. There is no reason to be overly concerned. Height/weight ratio is good.

Try to workout 4-5 times per week. Stay active.

Eat about 5-6 meals a day. Easy, low-fat stuff like grilled chicken sandwiches.

Drink!

Try not to over do it with the pizza. Try to look for healthier options when eating out.

if you really aim at wanting to be slim and fit try jogging early morning, and do some push ups. for losing weight the important thing is to do exercise when and all you feel hungry.. when you are hungry you burn out your fat, so when u feel hungry try to do some simple exercise before you hae your food that will help quite a lot.

Read "Truth about 6 pack abs," you are in uni you know what I'm implying when I say paying whatever they charge for it is crazy...

It outlines good meal ideas and quick exercise routines that suposenly do wonders for slimming down (and I believe they do.)
