Hello community,

the Finnish winter is coming and I'm looking for a down parka to keep me warm. I sold my Canada Goose a while ago to acquire something more suitable to be worn over suits etc.

I really like the look of this one by Spier Mackay but I heard that they chose to go with faux fur for this season and it's turn off for me. Is there anything similar in the max. 600€ range?

Appreciatw the help!

thats more appropriate than Canada Goose? Looks the same to me minus the benefit of real fur.

A parka like that is first and foremost meant to be functional. If you can get the same functionality sans logo, the fine.

Yes CG has some models that border on Antarctic explorer cos play, but a basic black with just the patch, in my opinion, is fine. They also have a line made to be a bit sleeker and has a black, less obnoxious patch.

I got the Woolrich Arctic Parka because I did not like the CG branding on their jackets. However, having had both I'd say that in the end the CG's are better made.

I'm also from southern Finland and like you'd know, the winters are not that harsh anymore. These are super warm jackets and I've found that I'm wearing mine only when the temperature drops down to -10 or below. Also, they are very warm to wear to indoor locations like malls and supermarkets. Limited use jackets even in Finland, to put it shortly.
