Hi

I am thinking of purchaing the BB Peal & Co Suede Longwing, currently on sale on BB website. You get 25% + another 15% off. It comes to a net of $336. I understand from reading other posts that Peal & Co longwings are made by C&J or AS. Even at this discounted price, the longwings directly from C&J and AS are still very competitive. Hence, I wonder if there is any merits of ordering from BB versus C&J or AS. Appreciate your thoughts and comments. Thanks!

Tricker's have some good options in that price range as well. The Piccadilly in snuff suede is a great shoe if the last works for you.

That's a beautiful shoe. I've been contemplating that myself. AE has only one brown suede wingtip in the lineup currently: Cambridge at $279 --

Frankly, I think the BB style is more elegant.

CJ? they don't make a longwing.

If you wanted a british longwing in suede, the BB is the best overall option.

Kicking myself for not picking up a pair of the BB long-wings during the recent 25+15 Black Friday mark-down. Hoping that they go back on sale after Christmas.

^ I was also gonna pull the trigger.

Those little rubber studs on the sole deterred me.

WTF! looks stupid and cheap

Oh, yeah. Forgot about those mini golf cleats. Give me a plain sole, please!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
