Are there 2-3 recommendations for an alternative to the Tom Ford classic white poplin dress shirt? I really like the collar and look of the classic Tom Ford white dress shirt and lean more towards poplin however I'm not a fan of the price tag :) looking for alternatives. Not looking for cheap here, I'm ok in the $100-$230 range for new.

Besides the name tag and cost what is so special about Tom Ford shirts/ suits?

They are all machine made.

These are the 4 factors that draw me to the Tom Ford dress shirt:

(1) Poplin Material
(2) It's not a non iron
(3) Pinpoint Collar (stiffness without tie and size/longness of collar points) and semi spread
(4) Double cuffs (though not as important)

Note it looks like Edward Sexton dress shirts have similar collar but those are still $285 range new.

Many others have poplin but in a non-iron, may opt for the smaller collar points or go for a larger spread.

I own a collection of TF shirts. I would say buy second hand ones or buy one and get it copied by a tailor. White shirt although is a staple, TF is quite over priced (second had are around £100-150).

However his colours and fabric are unique to the brand just like his suiting.
