Like the styling, the recycled leather eco-friendly stuff puts me off, probably low quality. There are some reports that they scuff easy and take in water! I want a similar boot for a long personal leisure trip through Asia. Idea is to minimize number of shoes needed while having something I can wear on the street/at attractions and at night to get past the bouncer in trendy lounges/clubs (I will not be taking sneakers for everyday wear, only these boots and a pair of canvas sperrys for boating/the beach). I refuse to wear chelsea boots. In a perfect world the boots I take on my trip would take polish well so I could buff them up and wear them to work (change into oxfords at my desk) in Manhattan down the line.
