Has anyone resoled their LL Bean boots with anything other than Bean's standard sole? I am looking for something like this ideally. http://originaldrsole.tumblr.com/tagged/cushionsole

I didn't make myself clear. I am not looking for a welted sole, more for a different style of sole rather than LL Bean's standard. In an ideal world I would like my boots to look like those in the link but without compromising the waterproof construction. Why do that? Bean boots are what they are, which is impervious to water—until they finally spring a leak and you have L.L. Bean resole them in Maine, as I have done twice on my 40-year-old pair. (The first time was free.) A welted sole on a Bean boot defeats the entire idea of the shoe. It also just looks odd. If it’s a welted boot you want, buy a welted boot.
There is the Bean integral duck sole, and welted soles, so you’re looking for a welted sole.I didn't make myself clear.
