Altering Gramicci pants

Hi.

I have bought a pair of Gramicci corduroy pants. They fit me well in the waist, but they are a bit too big in the seat. They have the elastic waist and integrated belt.

Have anyone experience with altering the seat of these trousers? I.e. will the elastic waist make it impossible? Note, I only need to take in the seat (the back seam), not the actual waist.

(I have to return them if it is not possible, and I don’t have time to visit my tailor before the final return date).
