    Good to hear.
I've used Pinnas & Needles a few times and although their workmanship is first rate, I've sometimes been disappointed with their measurements.
One pair of trousers I had shortened there is still far too long. Two pairs of trousers could have been taken in a bit more in the waist, and on one jacket the sleeves could have been shortened another 1/4 inch.
I don't live in London so only get in occasionally and drop items off there and generally have had them collected by my wife or a friend, so never get to try them on until later.

Still looking for good alterations tailors out west, anywhere near Reading, but they seem thin on the ground. At least ones with good reputations are.

I have a tuxedo and a few jackets needing alterations so will most likely be heading into Lexington Street again.

    Better long than short ))
I am sure they can adjust that if you go back! Things like that happened to most of the tailors. It might be a hassle for you as you living out of London but I am sure you ll hit a common ground.

    Hi,

I would second what Monty said. I used Alterations Boutique www.alterationsboutique.co.uk after some work colleagues recommended them to me. I work in Canary Wharf and it is quite a way for me but all the suits they have altered for me have been altered perfectly. They needed taking in and restyling and the work was flawless and the prices seem to be really reasonable too compared to other quotes I got. I recently got them to replace belt loops with side straps on my trousers recently and the result was brilliant.

They are based in Marble arch if you want to visit. There address is 14 New Quebec Street, Marylebone W1H 7RS.

    Give them a try

    James

Thank you for the tip James. I took you up on your recommendation and had some suit alterations performed at Alterations Boutique and they did a great job. In fact after they altered my suits I found at they specialise in Coat Alterations and Tuxedo Alterations and had my old Tux altered and my coat too. Not the cheapest out there but they did a good job on everything.

You guys should come up with better handles than a name and a date and then one post each if you're going to advertise like this.

Hi, I've actually used both of these companies Alterations Boutique www.alterationsboutique.co.uk and Pinnas & Needles www.pinnasandneedles.com for various alterations and both of them are excellent. I've found that both of them use highly qualified and expereinced tailors. I trust my local dry cleaners with simple jobs like trouser shortening but I would never use them to alter any of my jackets or coats. So both companies are good. Alterations Boutique is however a little bit more affordable.
