Alright, I think I might be going insane...(Could you help me identify this jacket?)

I saw someone wearing one earlier this week, and I thought it was amazing. If you can't tell from my wonderful ms paint sketch, it's a double breasted jacket, it was about thigh long, had a single vent in the back, and it had button-less sleeves. The coat buttons looked to be of satin nickel, and the fabric was a woolen.

It's a 18th century dress coat. Were you looking at a Revolutionary War re-enactment.

I was just putzing about a mall. It didn't have lace or gigantic epaulets. It had a slim aggressive cut.

you may want to send your description to SF member sho'nuff, he is the resident MS Paint expert, he sort of fills the role of police sketch artist on the forum. If you describe it to him, he can get yuo a very accurate representation of it and then we can tell you what it is.
