    Hey everyone,

Super excited to be a part of the Styleforum community. I've started this thread to discuss everything Alpha Industries.

For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, Alpha Industries is an American clothing manufacturer founded in 1959 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Initially, we started off as a contractor to the United States military, but throughout the years as we diversified our style and fashion apparel the company grew into an international commercial military heritage brand. Our mission is to protect and inspire heroism, in all forms by outfitting men and women to realize their limitless potential. All of our products are made to meet standard military specs as our items such as our flight jackets, field jackets and parkas were made for the military of the United States for over half a century.

One of our most popular models include the MA-1 flight/bomber jacket and the CWU-45/P pilot jackets.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you all!

    @Alpha Industries hi.

Where’s your stuff made these days?

    And these caught my eye:

That version of the patchwork m65 seems to have disappeared from the site. Oh well, saves me having to think about spending money on it. Still may get that white flight jacket. Kind of wonder if it will just read as tan though and I'll look like I picked it up at Orvis or something.

So question is, how cool can that jacket make me look. Pretty cool?

Which one? I will judge! Also, I get black Barbour fingerless gloves from Orvis regularly.

This one. Make me cool? Or make me look like I'd headed to Golf Galaxy to pick up a few things?

Unlike, say, a black mil-spec nylon satin MA-1, how this looks this will depend strictly on styling. Yeah, pair them with some medium wash jeans and Aldens, and you'll look like an off-duty Assistant District Manager. but I could see that with say, some olive cargos and high tops or boots, and it could look pretty cool. I would avoid pairing it with a collared shirt that does not have really radical proportions or details.

It’s $68 on sale I think. So it’s not a big risk. Do I assume correctly that all this stuff is made overseas somewhere? Not a big deal. Not expecting big MiUSA romance for $68. Just interested.

AFAIK, made overseas. Buy the largest size and stencil VETEMENTS across the front for extra cred.

    Hey there!
All our merchandise was manufactured at our Knoxville factory in Tennessee since 1959 until recently. Production has now moved to overseas, mostly in Asia.

Hey there. Thanks for the support! The jacket is currently on sale and was moved over to the sale page, which is probably why you missed it. Here is the link to the product page: http://www.alphaindustries.com/sale/alpha-industries-m-65-construct.htm

Personally, it's one of my favorite jackets because it has a nice form fitting, structured silhouette that really complements all builds. Also, the color of the jacket isn't as bold as it appears online, it has more of a sandy/faded tone to it in real life!

    Hope that helps!

Oh great! And then the inevitable sizing question: in your sizing chart are he measurements, for example for the chest in a L at 42-44, is that the garment measurement or the wearer’s body measurement range?
