I took a new overcoat in to a tailor last week to have a couple minor alterations done, in my girlfriends area -St. Augustine, Fl.. When I stopped by to pick up this past Friday, I noticed they had some racks out with clothes on them. As I started to look, I said " all womens "-- yes, they're in on consignment. Then the lady in the rear ( boss I suppose ) says OH! we have a couple mens suits-- don't know what size they are, Someone dropped off for shortening and never came back -- been here a year -- ours now. She got them down off the rack, still had the Nordstrums over bag on them. Still had the new tags on . But wrong size --44R and 3 button -- one black and one a sharp med. dk . blue ( but not navy ). Said something on inside about Ital. designer and a name that started with a V -- Vito , Vitro or something, but didn't look cheap. Well I said wrong size , but what would you want for them -- $40 a piece .
Never thought to check with tailor shops for a good bargin before, but think I'll stop by the other 3 in the phone book, b s a bit and see if they have any " never picked ups.
