    Re. my heritage line comments.

I really got a lot more respect for Ralph Lauren's product when I found out that his Purple Label line was being produced by Chester Barrie, and that even his Polo line suits were being made by Corneliani. I know that it's trendy to do some type of collaboration right now - everyone seems to be making shoes with Puma or Adidas, for example - but I could really see a niche for H in this area.

    And also, welcome.

Don't ever mention Ralphie's name in my presence again.

I'm going to venture to say now that we're not chatting with Tommy Hilfiger.

Okay - I hate to be a skeptic, but this is sounding more and more like a troll.

My entire collection will only be in the colors of my logo - red, white, and blue. Â As for the fall, I was thinking of doing a reversal of what most people would expect: instead of long sleeved shirts, heavier pants, and coats, I plan on focusing on short-sleeved shirts, shorts, and plenty of linen. ... I know what you mean about baggage. Â Think about the poor image that my daughters bring to the TH label - now that's a lot of baggage. ... Don't ever mention Ralphie's name in my presence again.

Not a troll, just an 'alternate personality'.

No harm intended either - just got to thinking that with the possibility of a 'business-celebrity' in our presence, it would be cool if we actually had a well-known fashion designer post here.

Anyone care to email John Varvatos or Giorgio Armani and let them know the Styleforum would love to have them grace us with their presence?

Because I'm a 'character'. Ever see my daughters' show on MTV called 'Rich Girls'? I make a few appearances every episode.

Actually - I think only Hilfiger's daughter Allie is on the show. I think the other girl is her friend. Sort of the Nicole Ritchie to her Paris Hilton. I may be wrong - I've only ever watched one episode. Bradford

I think with the quality of members posting on the StyleForum, it won't be necessary to have big names come in; I would hate to see SF go corporate, by any means.

Very true. I have much respect for 99% of the members who post here. When I made the comment about the great wealth of knowledge here, and the fact that it provides an inspiration for my own wardrobe and daily dress, I wasn't lying.

Of the big names, I bet that John Varvatos would be the most approachable. At least his public persona is affable, (i.e. he is not described in interviews as elusive or enigmatic) and he is Stateside, which counts for a lot - and we have heaped praise on him in the past. Maybe we could shoot for a smaller designer like Wendy Mullins of Built by Wendy, or the duo from Cloak NYC.

Besides the language barriers, I can't really see Hedi Slimane or Martin Margiela being all chummy on the forum (I could be wrong).

What do you have planned for the fall?

Ummm... OK? I don't know how well linen and shorts are gonna sell in the fall. I pretty sure this isn't TH by this last post.
