So...I am not sure if this is the thread...but yesterday I couldn't help myself. So these are my Maftei Vienna Stingray shoes. I have my ideas but how do people wear them usually? Can't find any pics.

I was in Budapest two years ago. Visited the Vass, Buday and Rozsnyai stores (on the same block). Saw these in the Rozsnyai widow. Unfortunately the stores were closed (on a Saturday afternoon, local custom?) Otherwise these would be in my collection and I would have had a nasty fight with my wife....

Rozsnyai is having a sale. Surprise, they had a pair of stingray in stock in my size. The others are MTO. So two years after I first saw them they are on their way. Guess it was meant to be. Great price, 444 Euro with lasted trees and shipping included.

A couple tempting pairs in my size. Do you know how Rozsnyai's fit? It's interesting how they convert the EU sizes to fractional US and UK equivilants. 43/ 8.8UK/ 9.8US for example.

They're here. Excellent quality and service. Delivered free in 5 days.
They run generous, almost by a half size. I put insoles in them to tighten the fit a bit and the instep works with my high instep feet. Very pleased.

That's what I thought but wanted some confirmation since I got them so cheap. ($300 on eBay but that was almost 10 years ago) Nowadays alligator is much more expensive than crocodile.

Not true, depends on crocodile species.
