Some RL belts are wider, I would stick with matte I think I holds up better than the finish on glossy alligator.

I was leaning towards matte as I never wear my glossy one currently. At least I know where some of you stand as well!

Matte- my hornbacks are wider and more casual.
Glossy- my smooth scale are dressier.

Regards.

you need both.

Glossy makes it dresser, no doubt.

Don't forget different buckle configurations also

AS far as the two links you make, I'd pick Paul Staurt.

Matte looks better than glossy, in my opinion, but glossy with lots of patina (half the gloss worn off) looks best.

Over a year later... I still haven't found a good matte alligator belt. Recommendations?
