Brown Shoe Company, and their mascot Buster Brown, is the owner of Allen Edmonds. After doing business for over 100 years as Brown Shoe, they changed the company name to Caleres in 2015. They acquired AE in 2016. They also own Famous Footwear as well as a bunch of crappy shoe brands (mainly women's.)

I beat the crap out of my MD chukkas in Japan last week. Probably 40 miles, including two long days of stomping around (one in a pretty constant rain) and they did great. Love these things.

I shampoo'd the MD chukkas, and they feel even better. It also has softened the toe puff - it is a little less visible and now feels just as soft as the leather...

The Saphir ****. It feels really strange to our that much water and lather on shoes, but it works great.
