I've got to hand it to AE for their Timeless Classics collection. Bringing back the Strand and Fifth Avenue models was a great idea. Pricing them at $279 makes it all even better.

The Fifth Avenue in Brown Burnished Calf may be my new favorite AE shoe.

The Strand is a great looking shoe, for sure. I'm tempted to pay retail for it.

Now if they'd just move the Park Ave into the Timeless Classics collection and add a longwing, a plain-toe blucher, a blucher boot and a chukka, they could cease production on their other models.

I didn't realize they intentionally priced Timeless Classics lower than their main line. What a great move.

Like others have said, they need to add a few more models, this would be ace.

That reduced price tag makes all the difference in the world. I wonder where I can see the Strand in person.

The image on the front of the site says, "For a limited time only." Figure the prices will go up in a month or two?

The fifth avenue looks just like the Byron, but only on the #5 last instead of #4? I wear both of my Byrons once a week or so. Just a great shoe.

Apparently the prices will go up eventually from a conversation I had with a rep in Port Washignton. I just ordered the Strand in Walnut. Looks nice in pictures.

The 5th Ave seems to be a Park Ave w/ punched cap. I think it adds a great touch to the look of the shoe.

If I wear a 10.5D in the 0, 4 and 8 lasts would a 5 last fit the same?

Also, it would be great if they added some 4 last shoes to the collection.

If you had to choose between the Strand and the McAllister in walnut, which would you select?

Hmm... that's actually not bad for shoes at FULL RETAIL PRICE!! (Dun dun dunnnnn...)

I'm actually tempted to go ahead and grab a pair or two (and dip into my jacket fund to do so).

I second Doc's opinion, and further suggest they add a Chelsea like the Taunton, minus the weird extra flap thing. That and a decent loafer, as I'm not a fan of the wingtip tassle.

Did they drop the Cambridge again?

EDIT: It's there, just not listed in the timeless classics section (and not on discount).

That's the full brogue AE I'd get if I were going to get one.
