I've been lurking for a while, and I appreciate the wealth of information (and opinion) here.

I wanted to get opinions of the shoe below. I'm looking for a casual, comfortable black shoe to wear with chinos and occasionally with nice denim. Comfort is critical as I spend all day on my feet. I suspect the shoe below is a great value in terms of quality, but it seems a bit clunky to me. The picture suggests the shoe has an awfully thick rubber sole. (I don't mind a rubber sole for casual shoes, but I don't want them to look like Doc Martens)

Willing to share your opinion? Does anyone own this shoe?

Those are awful. Go for brown rather than black. Also, you can get AE's now at JAB for 25% off with code PFD98 or on Amazon for cheap. Won't be $80 like those ebay ones, but they won't be god awful as them. My favorites are the Park Aves, Clifton, Montgomery, or McClain, depending on what type of style you like.

Hey for only $80 it would make a nice rainy day shoe (Rubber Soles).
I'd buy them myself if I already didn't have so many shoes.
And they are new!
If you can get them in brown go for that, I mean this is a casual shoe anyway.

Among the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. Would not buy for a dollar.

They look like galoshes. You might want to buy a pair four sizes too large and use them as such?

They should be called, "The Driver". As in, Bus Driver.
