Allen Edmonds Men's Park Avenue Cap-Toe Oxford: Most versatile color?

I'm about to buy a pair of PA cap toe styles shoes, but I am struggling to choose the color.

I am thinking either Merlot:

Would appreciate any insight you guys have for this in terms of color or style.
