Allen Edmonds Fit Question

Allen edmonds Rogue pair of shoes has 1/8" gap if I force my foot forward toward toe area. Overall the shoe fits well, but there is a 1" space in front of the big toe. Heel slip is minimal to null when walking. However I am concerned the shoe will stretch out and it may get too loose if this does happen. I do have to tighten the laces a bit more but that may be due to the blucher design. Not overly tight, but I do have to tighten the laces somewhat. Did not try on a smaller size than this one. My foot does not slide around when walking. Shoe is comfortable, but as stated concerned the shoe will stretch somewhat then it might get a little sloppy. With more of an open toe design should my foot be closer to the end of the shoe area? Should the shoe fit somewhat tight? Any thoughts on fit on these type of shoes?
