These are like-new black "Fifth Avenue" perforated cap-toe balmorals from Allen Edmonds. They are a "special makeup," featuring a JR Rendenbach double leather sole (with dovetail heels) and extremely supple, double-tanned calfskin leather from the Independence Collection.
I have worn them just twice (as you can see, the soles have very little wear), and they are kept in a smoke-free, pet-free home. They are just a tad too long for me and I figured I'd find them a new home rather than take a chance with tongue pads and similar inserts.
These are second quality, meaning that they "contain a minor cosmetic blemish that does not affect the fit, comfort or durability of [the] shoes." However, as you'll see from the pictures, it is hard to tell what, exactly, makes them second quality, other than perhaps the right cap-toe being slightly off-center.
The shoes are quite beautiful and are in new condition, complete with original box and shoe bags. I will include the Allen Edmonds shoe trees shown in the pictures at no extra charge.
Please note that although the soles have the Horween "Genuine Shell Cordovan" stamp, these shoes are NOT shell cordovan. The JR double leather sole was a specifically requested "upgrade" (Fifth Avenues typically come with a single leather soles with rubber heels).
