So I was never a big shoe guy in general, but after reading here, I decided to start buying Allen Edmonds as a good value play on quality. I started off with some brown Strands to wear for interviews and random other occasions. I was wearing it the other day and I notice a large chunk of the leather on the front sole of the shoe ripped off and showing (light colored). I thought these would last me years... it's very disappointing in general as I recently bought some Walnut McAllisters as well. I've emailed Allen Edmonds and I'm sending them in for them to look at. They said if they don't think the leather is "defective," then they'll simply send them back...
