Can't find much info on it on SF, or anywhere on Google for that matter. The Brooks Brother one has come up several times and it's expensive. What about the Allen Edmond? Anyone have it? Is it solid, well-built, or fairly flimsy? I don't mind paying $135 retail as long as its relatively solid in construction.

Does the wallet say "Allen Edmonds"? If so it would be better if they left that off. Besides that it seems like a nice wallet. I messaged with the AE CEO prior to the release of these wallets. Shoot him a message. He seems like a good guy.

I have one of these wallets - it's worn well. The one caution I would have is, try not to overstuff it - the shell isn't as stretchy as calfskin, so it won't stretch in quite the same way as the wallets you've had all your life. I do like how the constant in-out of pocket has given the wallet a unique texture and patina. I don't use the little plastic insert, btw - I prefer the leather on its own.

I did purchase mine during one of the 15% off accessories sales AE does, and would recommend waiting for one of those to purchase if it's not urgent, simply because you know it's coming. Works out pretty nicely if you're in a state where they don't charge tax, and shipping is free.

And the BB shell is from Japan while the AE is from Horween.
