Allen Edmonds calluses on feet

I got these pairs of AE:

But there giving both my pinky toes huge calluses that just look nasty, any recommendations? I love how these shoes look but dam this sucks.... I'm thinking of buying a pair of loafers that are not as narrow in the front, even though I know narrow is more in style. Any tips or shoes that look good but more comfortable?


Thinking about getting these not sure if these are to narrow too though, would really appreciate some shoe buying ideas thanks guys

This is not my feet but just to give you guys an idea of where the problem is occuring, my pinky toe just naturally curves inward so I think that makes it wider and thus giving me a big callus in the circled area.

Did you purchase your shoes online or in a store in person? Specifically, did you actually try these shoes on in a store before buying and was properly fitted by a salesperson or did you just buy them online because you liked how they looked? Please clarify.
As you may or may not be aware, Allen Edmonds uses many different lasts or shoe shapes to make their shoe models.
If you had not tried them on first before buying, then the fault is your own.
If you were sized by a live salesperson and didn't report an obvious discomfort, then the fault is again, your own.
If you purchased 'factory seconds' the you were already aware that there may be issues with the shoes.
Sorry, but either way, this is not AE's fault.

Purchased them online on endless, but I don't think it would of made a difference whether it was bought in store or online. Cause they feel perfectly comfortable during the test run I would of done in the store, its just after continuous use, five days a week gives me a callus. I know its not AE fault its just the style of the shoe, what I'm mainly asking for is shoes that are stylish and less likely to have this problem. So that I dont have to wear these as much and can switch between them.

Also, you shouldn't be wearing any pair of shoes 5 days a week. You should have a bare bones minimum of 2 pairs of shoes in your rotation.

No because in an Allen Edmoss store they would have told you that the Park Avenues are on a narrow long last(#5) and would have told you to size up in width and down a half size in length probably. Which wouldn't make your toe rub. I have a wide foot and those fit me perfectly, but I went into an actual Allen Edmonds store to get fitted.

Thanks for the tips guys, and yeah I'm definitely looking for some new shoes that are a bit more comfortable so i can rotate. Would love to get more suggestions, preferably black and my price range should be around $200 - $350

Oh and I think I figured out a way that can help prevent the pinky calluses aswell, something like this should work:

You can wear the same pair of shoes 5 days in a row if you line the inside with CVS cloth tape. Reevolving can fill you in on the details.

I feel your pain, literally! I have 3 calluses beneath both of my big toes. This is from wearing a pair of Loake 1880s 'Aldwych' on the Capital last. I only wear them twice a week (rotate with a pair of soft leather Aldo bulchers) but the upper leather is damn hard.

I tried the Loake 1880s on in the Loake outlet just off Jermyn Street. Problem is I probably didn't fully appreciate the area across the toebox. My Meermins wholecuts and single monks on the Ama last are fine in this regard (softer leather than the Loakes), although there is minor heal slippage with the wholecuts that has caused a swelling on the heel.

I'm going to rotate my Aldos with the Meermins to give my feet a chance to heel, before I wear my Loakes for work. Need to look to buy some digi-cushion style pads for my feet, until the Loakes become a lot less stiffer.

Time to get my feet properly measured.

I feel the OP's pain and am happy the search function picked up this thread. Shoes felt great when I was trying them on. After a day that included some brisk walking on the street, however, they started to burn my little toe in the same spot as the OP.

I usually wear a 12 D and Nordstrom sized me at a 11.5 D for the Park Aves. My guess is I needed a 11.5 E.
