Allen Edmonds Bel Air - Wrinkling problem

So I just got a pair of AE Bel Airs. Wearing them for the first time today. Right shoe looks fine, but left shoe already has huge deep creases and crinkles across the top. This is the second time AE shoes have done this to me, first time was a pair of Hinsdales (similar shoe) that I had to return after 3 days of use for the same problem.

Is this a common issue with Allen Edmonds?

Creasing is common with all shoes. Post some pictures if you want people to tell you if it's unusual.

You should not use new shoes. I dont and have never had one wrinkle.

Simply wear a fresh brand new pair each and every day and your problem will be solved.

I have a pair too, they seem to crease a bit more than other pairs I have. It just adds to their character.

E evanston and soho have this issue. They were quite sleek, but the creasing issue might have been the reason why they're discontinued.

I'm not sure if the shoe is ill-fitting. I have previously been measured at 11.5 D. The shoes are very comfortable. I have other AE shoes size 11.5 D that don't do this. One shoe is out of wack and the other is perfect. The creased shoe looks shinier, i wonder if the leather is different. I will post pic later! Still awaiting a response from AE...

Ordered them form the shoe bank as a "closeout" model, and appeared to be flawless.

But are they seconds? This may be the issue.

I called AE and they e-mailed me a return label to send them back so they can "look" at them. They did not agree to give me a refund or that they could do anything, but they just want to "look" at them. What does that mean?
