Looked at the clearance & discontinued items section on AllenEdmonds.com today. Was surprised to see the The Augusta discontinued after just one year. The demise of bland offerings like The Townley, The Montgomery, and The Powell was inevitable, if not overdue. Yet The Augusta seemed to stand out, even on the large Allen Edmonds roster. A walnut-colored, perforated medallion bal on Allen Edmonds' "sleek" 0 last, the Augusta was the nearest alternative to the Soho, a Cognac captoe bal that was (prematurely, IMHO) discontinued at the end of 2009. Does anyone know if Allen Edmonds will have a bal on the 0 last for the Spring? All that remains on the 0 is a single monk, The Boston, and a light-selling moc toe, The Charleston.

No. It will not. According to AE CEO on AAAC forum there will be no shoes on 0 last for the Spring. There will be more offerings of heavier leather and sole shoes such as MacNeil.

Thanks Laufer. I'm reading the discussion now. I forget sometimes that AAAC isn't dedicated exclusively to questions about saving money at Nordstrom Rack, shameless plugs for site advertisers, and coupons for Cedarville Store.
