A man can never have enough boots, wingtips, or brown shoes IMO. However for the first time I don't see a single thing in the newly released shoes that I need to have. I hear you.
I think the group originally asked for a natural split reverse welt sole which we were told was not available. My thought was the same as yours so I asked what natural soles were available [IMG]

The Leeds are my workhorse shoes and I can't imagine going without them. The black calf Leeds was my first AE shoe and the #8 shell Leeds was my first shell. I purchased both long before I discovered SF and bar lacing so the grooves from the laces are cut way too deep into both that it is too late to change them now. Likely will do bar on my custom brown shell Leeds when I get them however.

My only regret is that the black ones are calf instead of shell. But I blame Mario and Adam for that because of the great pictures they posted of their black shell Leeds. Seriously though you can see the micro creases in the calf that develop over time which bucksfan talks about, and that shell does not develop.

Yep -happens regardless of shoe and regardless of maker. It's just the nature of calfskin ....

I agree Allen Edmonds has been all over the place in terms of new product. What is their target demographic? So many shoes/boots ruined by white coloured sole.

Nice shoes. Leeds are wonderfully versatile too. I have the Leeds in black shell, burgundy shell, and dark brown shell. While it might be a safe option, it is always a good option. :nodding:

I would buy this in a second. I was fortunate enough to snag some snuff Players, but these seem to be discontinued now, and I still want a balmoral with a suit. The suede Nuemok doesn't cut it for suits.

Call your AE store (if you have one). Not the factory.

Thank you for the info, placed order for Neumora for $79. The associate said they were Bourbon color, which is fine by me, but we will see when they arrive.

No problem man. I tried them on but they were too big, they look pretty good. The Amok's fit a little smaller to me so I was able to make do with them in the 9.

All joking aside though, I would prefer to see them work on a nice permanent selection of classic well proportioned, well designed shoes on a generally pleasing last. I think they need to make their "Timeless Classics" collection a permanent (read non-discontinuable) set of shoes that will always be available, and they need to expand it to include more of the shoes that a well rounded wardrobe will always have a place for. After that, let them have their fun on the side with the stuff that looks like it was made by design school students.

For those of you with AE loafers.

I am looking at a pair to wear on the weekend. Will I be able to wear them 2 days straight without them smelling? I will use shoe trees at night but I don't want to wear socks.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

I agree. I own snuff suede Neumoks, and I like them quite a bit, but I would not wear them with a suit. Had a snuff or dark brown suede Strand or McAllister been available (RTW -- I understand that I could order one custom), I might have opted for it over the Neumok to have the option to dress them up a bit more.

Use some food powder (gold bond or whatever) and you should be fine. Doing this occassionally should be fine. I might consider looking for a second pair of weekend shoes sometime in the future though.

Are you sure these aren't just bonus Web Gems? =P

These are all awful. It's one thing to design a bad looking shoe that will not flourish in the market (again), but it's another to give it awful names like "Chukkamok" and "Strandmok." Did the naming department get scrapped or something?

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it does seem a little weird to have to go a full size down; but I'm partly going off of what people are commenting on the relative fits. Unfortunately, none of the places that I've found AE have those models in stock so trying them on isn't much of an option for me at this moment. For what it's worth, I'm an 8 in my left foot and right on the border of 8/8.5 in the right.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I may just end up getting the Keni's in 8D anyway, and if they're a little too big, slip in a tongue pad. That seemed to work pretty well with my Jefferson's, which also ran a little bigger than my PAs.
