So possibly a dumb question but how are you getting the toe box darker then the rest? Are you applying more conditioner/polish there or are the shoes just made like that?

Also- for the player's shoe in suede. What would you recommend as far as protecting them? Especially in the winter.

They do, but they usually don't have much of a sale, due to the popularity of the model. I've normally seen them in the $230-$260 range...
Nordstrom anniversary sale has them for $200 in June

Second Nordstrom, they are the best prices I've seen on PA's. I've been in the market for PA's but dont really want to spend more than $185 for them and haven't really had much luck in the past year. I'm not saying they dont drop below $200 from AE but from the time's I've called they haven't been available. Some users buy PA's on eBay but I dont trust eBay...
    Looks nice! Great job

Allen Edmonds basic dress belt is on clearance sale for $49 in black and burgundy. Regularly $98. So far, all sizes available.

Awesome price, you can't even buy a belt from Nordstrom/Bloomingdales (store brand) at this price. How's the quality of their belts?

p.s. I need suggestions for what color belt to wear. If I am wearing a Navy (or) Charcoal suit with Walnut (or) Burgundy shoes should I be wearing a black belt or burgundy belt?

Damn, they don't have a walnut on sale. Do you think black or burgundy would work best with walnut shoes?

I dont pretend to be an expert, but I have always always heard wear a belt to match your shoes, at least in the same color family-so a light brown may work for dark brown shoes, but I would not do black/burgundy with Walnut, IMO. Maybe someone else argues otherwise?

Are AE belts really that amazing? I usually buy mine from Century 21 or some place similar for $15-20. WHile they arent great, I usually beat the hell out of my belts, and so they dont last long.

Exactly, I too beat mine up, so I am wondering if higher-quality like AE means better life with a belt. Not really sure

You're in NYC. Do yourself a favor and head down to Union Square and pick up the woodlore ones for $14 and change at Nordstrom Rack. Woodlore is owned by Allen Edmonds, so you are pretty much getting the same thing.

I have shoe trees for almost every pair of shoes I currently wear.

It seems like they always have good stock. I'd be surprised if they ran out. One week I bought 3 or 4 pairs of them in medium and went back a few weeks later and they were restocked.
